Our Neem

TheraNeem product range contains Certified Organic Neem Leaf. All TheraNeem Leaf Dietary Supplements and Extracts are the purest available.
Serendipity Herbals personal care products contain fairly traded neem leaf obtained from a community project we support in Kenya.
We also use Certified Organic Neem Oil from India of very high purity, with high levels of key ingredients, and guaranteed free of contaminants including Aflatoxin.
Extraction methods are based entirely on systems which maximise the retention of Neem's beneficial components, whilst avoiding unwanted contamination. This may not always be the 'cheapest' or 'easiest' option.
The cold-pressed extraction method for Neem Oil is preferred, because it leaves the majority of active components intact, and does not significantly alter the natural raw material.
Super Critical Extraction delivers the full range of Neem's therapeutic properties, as no high temperatures or harsh chemicals are utilised whilst processing the freshly harvested leaves. The resultant extract closely resembles the fresh herb. You will see these appear in many of our ingredients lists, sometimes alongside additional supportive and synergistic supercritical herbal extracts.
The manufacturers of TheraNeem product range consider sourcing a priority, and do not buy from brokers. All Neem raw materials are purchased directly from the farm suppliers in various countries, and they also own Certified Organic farms in India. Each batch is accompanied by a certificate of analysis to ensure quality.
We strongly advise anyone purchasing Neem based products to research the authenticity of the supplier, and the source and storage of Neem. Contamination and deterioration (especially in hot climates) can seriously alter efficacy of the products, and may pose a serious risk to health.
Fallen, ripened fruits often left rotting prior to harvesting (instead of being picked from the tree and quickly processed) are naturally decomposing, and may harbour harmful fungi.
In some instances, oil may be extracted and stored in containers used previously for unknown purposes - possibly antagonistic to Neem, or harmful to man.

The cosmetics industry is generally led by 'cost-conscious' decisions when formulating new product ranges. We believe our customers prefer efficacy of results. Hence, no ingredient will be removed, or percentages reduced, to keep prices down. Ingredients have been extensively researched, and will be included within the necessary therapeutic range to really make a difference.

Working within the current legislative framework of the EU, we seek to enlighten customers about the amazing global implications of Neem for supporting our health and the environment. We offer an entire family of Neem products dedicated to supporting an extensive variety of ailments, and evolved from using high quality natural and organic ingredients.
