Bathing with neem oil and shampoo has definitely helped our itchy cockapoo and neat healed a minor injury in a day. Stinky but good.

I LOVE this neem oil
Tuesday, 21 June 2016  |

I have all sorts of domestic animals and I use this oil neat on all of them. brilliant for the horses - helps ward off ticks and bots if you rub it round the legs and flies elsewhere. Sometimes can be a bit strong on their faces and the hair comes off. No damage done but you can dilute it. Great for flies and shearing cuts on sheep; chickens and lice, and dogs cuts and wards off insects. Fantastic!

So far so good using this products on my guinea pigs..coat is left slightly oily at application site but not an issue if this reduces the itching they are experiencing. My vet very happy for me to use this product on them. Only down side is they do pong a bit!

Calms and Controls
Tuesday, 1 December 2015  |

Reduces the level and intensity of scratching for our 11 year old lab. Calms the skin and allows the fur to regrow. Not sure if this is a cure (I'm a bit inconsistent) but it is certainly a control for whatever is troubling the boy. Vets diagnosed mange but their treatment didn't work. The fountain of Google suggested this which works and also suggested mange is linked to the immunsystem. So more something that needs managing or other underlying conditions need addressing.

Each summer my lab cross dog has a miserable time with an itchy and sore back/tail area. Vet tests couldn't find the cause, she is de_fleaed and wormed, and I have tried all sorts of things, dietary changes, prescription shampoos, homeopathy, other herbal oils, but nothing seemed to cure the problem. It has been a particularly bad year this summer, lasting longer with a worse skin than ever., I decided to give neem oil a go, having read the other reviews. I was a bit concerned at first on applying the oil directly to my poor pooch's raw back, especially as it looked very red and angry afterwards, but she seemed quite happy, and the next day I could see a real improvement. I then bathed her in a rosemary/neem shampoo to hide the smell as much as anything, and have continued to apply neem and coconut oil daily. Within a couple of weeks the skin had healed beautifully; the hair is growing back, her coat is glossy and my dog is back to her bouncy self. Definitely the best thing I have ever used. Love the shampoo too.

Just beginning to assess the product - encouraging results
Saturday, 29 August 2015  |

Looking to try Neem oil to control Northern fowl mite on chickens. I need to experiment a little because the product is quite sticky and this will make the application to skin with feathers more tricky. Also tried on a friends Boxer dog who has itchy skin, particularly between the toes. Constantly licking and chewing them. Applied oil directly to the skin on 3 consecutive days each week and so far she has not been seen chewing them. You do have to hold her head to stop her licking it off for a few minutes! Will have to try as a shampoo but more dilute.
