What we put in, and what we leave out

We sometimes get asked why a bottle of our shampoo, for example, is slightly different to one purchased previously. Perhaps the colour, consistency, or aroma is not quite the same. The reason is because we use natural ingredients, which themselves will vary from harvest to harvest. Industrial producers do not want any variations in their products, they want to ensure that the product you buy today will be identical to the one you buy in six months time. They also want to make sure that they can store and transport their brand anywhere in the world without it being affected by temperature or the long journey. The only way they can do this is by using chemical additives which they can tightly control. Any home cook knows that the cake they bake today will not turn out exactly the same as the one they baked last week, whilst a shop bought cake is exactly the same time after time. Again this is achieved by the use of chemical modifiers and stabilisers.
We pride ourselves on the care we take when formulating our products and sourcing the ingredients. Wherever possible they are completely natural and in many cases organically grown. We feel that these slight variations are a small price to pay in the avoidance of possibly harmful chemicals. A quick look at our reviews will show that our customers agree.
We always list our ingredients and if you have any questions or concerns about any particular constituent please get in touch.
It is not only what we put in our products that makes them so good, but also what we leave out!
