Neem Herbal Outdoor Spray botanical insect repellent

I bought the Herbal Outdoor spray to take on our tropical holiday as the mosquitoes can be very unpleasant there. I was very happy that we did not get bitten and thhe spray was gentle on the skin.

I went hiking with some friends and we camped for three days near the Cairngorms end September. I used the Outdoor spray several times during the day and first thing in the morning and didn't get bitten AT ALL! My friends were getting bitten and in the end I had to share the spray with them. I get very badly affected by midge bites. I am a British 45-48year old of Indian origin, and my skin is much darker and less rash-prone than my friends' white skin, but I still get bitten quite a lot and flare up badly when I react: my skin gets very bumpy and the swollen area is large and hard to the touch. When I scratch the itching bites, I also get semi-permanent marks, so I was keen to try something effective. I did not get bitten as much as I normally do, so the verdict is positive.

Throughout my time in the midge-infested Scottish field where the festival I was at took place, I alternated using the Theraneem Herbal Outdoor Spray (yellow and green label) and the sample neem midge spray you sent.

I couldn't notice a difference between them in terms of getting bitten, so I'd say your sample worked just as well as the theraneem on my skin. In terms of the method I used, I was dancing and sweating quite a bit so I re-applied frequently, and tried to use Theraneem only on one day, and Sample only on the next, alternating days like that until the end of the festival. My overall verdict is: the sample worked! I still got bitten, including on my face, but certainly substantially less than without it, and much less than any other Deet-based products I used in the past. The smell of the sample neem midge spray was also pleasant, which really helped and doesn't go unnoticed, at least in my books!
